Library Information

Q: How do books get returned and checked in at the library?

A: Library books are returned to the library. Library staff or Teaching Assistants will process the books throughout the day. Textbooks should be returned to the library at the end of the school year or if you are moving.

Q: How does my child find out about any books that are overdue?

A: The librarian periodically sends out check-out, overdue, and fine notices via email. Students may check their individual accounts by visiting the library website (see above) and logging into their accounts using their Chromebook username and password.

Q:How should my child return

 their overdue items?

A: Remember, the school library does not charge overdue fines. Please have your student bring the overdue item(s) to the library as soon as possible.

Q: I got an overdue notice but I think there is a mistake. What should I do?

A: Please email bgrasseschi@lvjusd.org so that Mrs. Grasseschi can check the library. We will check to see if we can find the books in the library. Please know that the library takes every step possible to make sure mistakes don't happen but they do occur on occasion.

Q: My child lost a library book. What should we do?

A: Look for the book. Often times they are simply misplaced. The book will be marked lost when it is 21 days overdue. At this time you can replace the book or pay the fine. Please make payments in cash or check in the library.
